One day Workshop on “CODEBREWERS”

Coding and programming skill shooting up in importance, with the ongoing technological innovation across the globe, the technology industry is growing at a rapid rate, bringing phenomenal changes in every aspect of our lives. These changes have pushed us to continuously upgrade ourselves to ensure, that we are ready to take on the challenges. Coding is one such most in-demand new-age skill.Trends somehow define the need and needs definitely define the actual trends. There’s no doubt that Python is now in “the trend”.

Considering its pervasive presence across all fieldslike Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics and many web related applications, we the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of M.E.T Engineering College has organized a workshop titled “Codebrewers” on 22-12-2021. The workshop started with Tamil Thai Vazhthu followed by Welcome address by Ms.MaheshBala of II CSE. The Principal Dr.P.Senthil Kumar, M.E.T Engineering College presided over the function. The felicitation address was delivered by Prof.J.Aloysious, Department of Science and Humanities.Ms.V.Vidhya, Administrative Officer, M.E.T Engineering College gave a motivational speech highlighting the importance of the workshop. The resource person of the day was introduced by Mr. افضل طريقة للعب الروليت Kandiah of IV CSE.

Mr.E.AugestineJebaraj, Master Trainer, Blueline C Technologies was the guest of the day. The introductory talk about the workshop was given by Mr.G.Jeyaram, HOD,Department of CSE. The workshop comprised of lectures interleaved with hands-on training. The Resource person started the session from the basics of Python Programming.The lecture session covered the Introduction to Python Programming Language, Installation of IDE’s, Functions in python, Packages and modules.

In the succeeding session students learned the applications of various modules in python.The workshop received an excellent feedback from the participants and they had appreciated the method of delivery, model programs and the hands-on exercise.The workshop turned out to be a huge success.

In the valedictory function all the students were given certificate for their participation by the dignitaries. ربح حقيقي من الانترنت The guest of the day was honored with a memento by Ms. لعبة بينجو V.Vidhya, Administrative Officer, M.E.T Engineering College as a token of thanks giving. Traditional Embroideries Of India

“Embroidery is the craft of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle to apply thread or yarn”. The two days workshop on “TRADITIONAL HAND EMBROIDERIES OF INDIA” was organized by the Department of Fashion Design on 27-09-2021& 28-09-2021.

The session was carried out by the faculties of Fine Arts. The main objective is to learn and practice basic hand embroidery stitches and traditional embroideries of various states. Each state in India has a style unique to its tradition. I & III Year students we’re learned to stitch around 20 embroidery stitches and to create embroidery designs. IV year students were learned about traditional embroidery designs and stitches of various states.

At the end of the workshop, students were submitted their finished design samples. All the sessions were done well and very much useful to the students and they gave positive feedback.

One day Workshop on “Career Development in Civil Engineering”

Workshops on Career development have proven to be successful for improving the software skills and technical ideas in students. The goal of this workshop was to train the students about the software used in the construction field. In order to deal with the rapid changes in the construction field, the students have to be aware of the new technologies and software in the respective field and to enrich the student’s vitality in key domains of planning, structural analysis, designing and detailing, a One-day Workshop Programme titled “CAREER DEVELOPMENT IN CIVIL ENGINEERING” was organized for the civil engineering students of M.E.T. Engineering College on 29th September 2021.

The inaugural function was started with Thamizh Thaai Vaazhthu at 11.30 a.m. The Principal, Dr P.Senthil Kumar and Administrative Officer, Ms.V. Vidhya presided over the function. Aadhil Hussain. J from 3rd year civil delivered the welcome address. The Chief Guest of the day was Er.U.Praveen Kumar, M.E., Managing Director, UPK Groups, Nagercoil. The Chief guest introduction was given by the Association coordinator, Ms C.Sree Vidhya. M.E.

The Workshop started with the basics of the building works and the role of the softwares in the construction. He made a deliberation on Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the softwares used in the construction field such as AUTOCAD, Revit, STAAD PRO, Primavera, E-tabs, 3D Max., etc. He also mentioned the future scopes of those softwares in building construction. He highlighted the role of an Architectural Designer and Structural Designer and insisted to develop the skills in analysis and design areas of construction.

Finally, he stressed the needs of the softwares and its importance. Rabin. R from final year civil delivered the vote of thanks and finally the Head of the Department, Mr.S.Gokula Kannan thanked the chief guest, faculty members and the students for their cooperation in making the workshop a successful one. The programme ended with the National Anthem by 3.30 p.m. All the students participated very enthusiastically and learned about the new softwares which can be implemented to enhance their knowledge. The outcome of the workshop was more positive, the topics selected for the workshop were extremely important to their academic career, all the information and contents were very good and helpful, it was an awesome programme and useful in career development. The positive feedback from students actually served the purpose of this Workshop.
