“Embroidery is the craft of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle to apply thread or yarn”. The twodays’ workshop on “TRADITIONAL HAND EMBROIDERIES OF INDIA” was organised by the Department of Fashion Design on 27-09-2021& 28-09-2021.

The session was carried out by the faculties of Fine Arts. The main objective is to learn and practice basic hand embroidery stitches and traditional embroideries of various states. Each state in India has a style unique to its tradition. I & III Year students we’re learned to stitch around 20 embroidery stitches and to create embroidery designs. IV year students were learned about traditional embroidery designs and stitches of various states.

At the end of theworkshop, students were submitted their finished design samples. All the sessions were done well and very much useful to the students and they gave positive feedback.
