Report on HANDS-ON Training Program
“Every Day Electrical Appliances”

Electricity is one of the most important blessings that science has given to mankind. It has also become a part of modern life and one cannot think of a world without it. Electricity has many uses in our day-to-day life. It is used for lighting rooms, working fans, and domestic appliances like using electric stoves, A/C, and more. In factories, large machines are worked with the help of electricity. Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and manage the manufacturing of electrical equipment, from electric motors and navigation systems to power generation equipment and the electrical components of vehicles and personal devices. Electrical engineering is an immensely broad field with job roles in a dizzying array of industries. From electric power generation and distribution to cars to smartphones, electrical engineers are integral parts of thousands of companies.”Especially in today’s age, electrical engineering is integrated into almost everything we do because of the takeover of technology,”

So we as a department decided to provide hands-on training for our students on 24-11-2021related on the topic “EVERY DAY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES”. To make them understand the concepts of everyday machines, how they are designed, and how they operate. The session started around 10.00 am in morning in the seminar hall. In the morning session, students were given video coaching with an explanation related to the basic principles of operations of the electrical appliance considered per say iron box and electric calling bell.

The session was followed by hands-on training in the afternoon around 1.30 pm in the wiring and winding lab. The theoretical concepts explained were practically demonstrated by dismantling the electrical devices referring to the circuit connections and practical working of the appliances.

At the end of the session, a question segment was conducted and all doubts of the students regarding any other electrical appliances and their operation were cleared finally Feedback from the students was collected about the program. Students mentioned the session was very much useful for them to understand the practical concepts by undertaking the hands-on experience. Thus concludes the program attained its ultimate goal and was a success.
